Advisory Group

The establishment of a medical cannabis regime that is beneficial to the health and wellbeing of New Zealanders, and which facilitates responsible commercial opportunities, requires collaboration among a number of different groups.

BIOTechNZ is working closely with a variety of stakeholders to ensure a diverse range of perspectives in this burgeoning area are able to share their views at the upcoming MedCan Summit 2021. This includes government agencies, universities, medical and science entities, research institutes, tech communities, industry and business leaders.

We have established the MedCan New Zealand Events Advisory Committee to assist with the governance of this event and ensure we understand, and cater to, this unique ecosystem. Committee members are providing expert advice on content, speakers, format and operational delivery. Our goal is to ensure MedCan 2021 is an interesting and useful forum, in which attendees come away with a comprehensive understanding about the opportunities – and challenges – that lie ahead.
