Dr Nick Marsh

Dr Nick Marsh is a Strategic Facilitator who has worked extensively for CEO’s, Executive Teams, and Boards who are responsible for strategic thinking and getting understanding and commitment to the vision and roadmap for the future. He uses a Strategic Foresight approach to work with the client to describe the 10 year future of the sector, determine the key drivers of sector change, and then determine the positioning of client organisations in that future sector
The deregulation of parts of the Cannabis sector has opened up licensing regimes for growing Hemp and for Medicinal Marijuana. New Zealand has been slow to open up these opportunities in comparison with Canada and many American states as well as those countries such as in Europe and Asia which have always allowed hemp to be grown.
Nick has been working with the NZHIA to help develop strategic foresight and build a roadmap for growth in exports of Hemp Foods, Hemp nutraceuticals, Hemp fibre products, as well as Medicines from marijuana. He is focussed is on ‘how can Hemp become another economic success story like NZ Wine by developing and marketing high value products for the global market’?
Dr Marsh was previously the director of the MBA (Master of Business Administration) at Auckland University. In 2004 he set up a NEXT Office in Port of Spain, Trinidad, working with government to service the growth and innovation planning challenges in different Caribbean islands.
He has published three books on organisational change:
