Dr Andrew Kelly is a fixture on the New Zealand biotech landscape. He’s been in leadership roles across the sector for over 20 years, always at the interface of science and business. He claims to be bilingual in that he can speak the languages of both those sectors.
He’s managed large scale research, in Australia and within AgResearch, he’s run Product Development, he founded and led the large BioPacific venture fund, and now he leads BioPacific Partners, a business focused on connecting the best of our innovations to global corporates world-wide.
As for his expertise in cannabis … not so much! But he sees this pharmaceutical fruit-box as the most fascinating new “natural product” sector to have opened up in decades.
