MedCan Summit 2020 postponed due to COVID-19
In light of the rapidly-evolving circumstances surrounding New Zealand’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic, we have made the difficult decision to postpone the MedCan Summit 2020, scheduled for 18-19 March at SkyCity, Auckland.
This decision was not made lightly, however, in the interest of the health of our attendees, speakers, sponsors and staff – and due to the travel restrictions announced on Saturday that are affecting a number of our speakers and attendees – we believe postponement to be the most prudent response.
This was a particularly hard decision due to timing of the country’s new Medicinal Cannabis Scheme, which comes into effect on 1 April 2020. Nevertheless, MedCan Summit will continue supporting New Zealand’s medicinal cannabis industry.
As such, we are committed to running the MedCan Summit as soon as it is feasible. We are now working at pace with sponsors and key stakeholders to assess the implications and determine new event details. As soon as we have more information available we will communicate this.
In the meantime, those who had registered for MedCan Summit 2020 will have their registration and payment transferred to the new date for MedCan Summit 2020.
Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused by the unprecedented circumstances surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic. Thank you for your understanding and on-going support of this important event.
